Meditation

Meditation is a mind body practice used to help increase calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance and enhancing overall health and well-being. Derived from Hinduism and Buddhism. The goal of meditation is to focus and understand your mind—eventually reaching a higher level of awareness and inner calm. Regular meditation offers many health benefits, such as reduced stress and anxiety. At Adaptive Health Wellness we will be offering classes during the day and evening. Meditation is thought to work via its effects on the sympathetic nervous system which can  increase heartrate, breathing, and blood pressure during times of stress. Calming the body and mind therefore has many psychological and physical benefits.
